OPJ is proudly offering psilocybin facilitation services throughout Oregon.  We currently have operating agreements to work with two service centers in Beaverton, but should be able to arrange sessions elsewhere if you have a specific preference. We hope to have the opportunity to open a service center on the North Coast of Oregon within the next year or two, depending on funding availability, local ordinances, and legal zoning.  Feel free to ask how you might help us reach that goal.

Each year we have committed to giving facilitation package discounts to a minimum of 5% of our clientele.  Veterans, teachers, first responders, and others who serve their community as well as Native Americans, BIPoC, and those who are in financial crisis will be eligible for these discounted rates based on availability.

We can support individual and small groups (2 to 4 depending on doses) in either macro (larger doses that give you psychedelic experiences) or micro (very small doses that are below your perception level) doses.  Our support is limited to Intake, Preparation, Facilitation, and Integration sessions.

We DO NOT, and cannot, sell any psilocybin products.  We don’t manufacture or distribute them as we currently do not have licenses or facilities to do so.

Our services are NON-DIRECTIVE.. actually.. not just in theory.  We will help you achieve your stated intentions, and will provide the most supportive Set and Setting that we can offer, but we will not send you in any particular direction.

We believe that while the research demonstrates that psilocybin is one of the safest and most effective mental health treatments for many conditions, that it should NOT be relegated to merely medical or psychiatric use.  Psilocybin has been used around the world for thousands of years (not exaggerating) for many purposes, only some of which center around mental health.

We are not mental health providers, and if we were, we would not be able to use that license scope inside of our work as facilitators.  Additionally, we believe that psilocybin is a “non-specific amplifier”, which means that it will work with where you are at in the moment you take it, and will amplify whatever you have going on, whether good or bad, wonderful or painful, positive or negative. It is this amplification that we believe allows you to uncover what your brain already knows, but you have either blocked out, or deemed unthinkable.  This is why we believe the medicine is worth experiencing in more than medical contexts, and should be regarded as an intervention in and of itself.

More to come, check out the site, and let’s talk.

Psilocybin Facilitator

A little bit about me:

I’ve been married to my beautiful wife Jennifer for nearly 30 years.  Together we have 4 grown children, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, and 2 wonderful granddaughters.  Collectively, we have cat and dog family, but we also have a snake (~15 years old!!!).

I am a devout christian who has experienced religious trauma and rejection. This means you won’t be getting pushed in any direction by my beliefs, but if you are a christian and want to talk about your concerns, I’m a wide-open book.  This also means you won’t be getting any buddhist, taoist, new-age, or other influences from me.  Meditation, journaling, and breathwork are tools that I practice and teach, and we can use these tools to help you have a constructive experience if you are open to them.

Psilocybin (psychedelic mushrooms) have been a recent addition to my life, as I was unwilling to break the law to use them prior to Measure 109 being passed here in Oregon.  Having done decades of work in counseling, therapy, and countless workshops, seminars, and books, I thought that I had dealt with most of my trauma and insecurities from childhood.  When I took psilocybin the first time, I realized how much more healing, life, joy, and love was available to me than I’d ever seen before.  Today, I have journeyed many times, and helped others on their journeys, finding this tool as one of the most effective ways to break through barriers and accomplish our intentions.

I studied at Synaptic Institute in Portland, and have been licensed here in Oregon as a “Licensed Facilitator” since early 2024.  Separately, I have been a licensed massage therapist in Washington and now Oregon for much of the past 30 years.  During that same time-frame, and until 2023, I was primarily working as a software quality director, coach, etc. while building a home church, christian lay counseling, and raising a family.
